Adjunct Openings for Business, Arts and Social Sciences

Listed below are our anticipated Adjunct openings:

Business Admiration

Required: Master Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Management, Marketing or MIS. Applicant must be able to teach day and/or evening. Preferred: Prior teaching experience; for finance, a CFA.

Accounting

Required: Master Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Taxation. A current CPA or CMA license. Applicant must be able to teach day and/or evening. Preferred: Prior teaching experience.

Anthropology

Required: Master’s degree in Anthropology or Master’s degree in related Social Science discipline and prior related teaching experience. Applicant must be available  to teach day and/or evening sections in Paramus and/or Lyndhurst.

 Economics

Required: Master’s degree in Economics and prior related teaching experience. .Applicant must be available to teach day and/or evening sections in Paramus and/or Lyndhurst.

Fashion Apparel Design – Textiles

Required: Master’s Degree in Fashion Design or related field. Minimum two years teaching experience in higher education, preferably teaching fashion-related classes. Prior teaching experience; college level teaching a plus.

 Graphic Design Courses

Teach courses in Graphic Design using Adobe suite.

Required: MFA and/or professional experience in the field. Previous teaching experience a plus.

Hotel/Restaurant/Hospitality

The Hospitality Management department is currently seeking talented chefs and pastry chefs to join our culinary and pastry arts team. Our exciting and rapidly growing program is expanding to a new state-of-the-art culinary facility to be completed in the near future. Join an ambitious talented group of individuals in a healthy, happy and supportive work environment where you are encouraged to provide creative input, suggestions and ideas.

 Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management or related degree in the industry, plus minimum five years Hospitality industry experience. Teaching experience is a plus.  Applicants must be able to teach day and/or evening classes.

 Music Production

Teach courses in studio and MIDI based music production; possibly teach Concert Promotion & Production and/or Sound for Visual Media as well as general music courses.

Required: Graduate degree in related field or Bachelor’s degree plus demonstrated substantial experience in the music production industry. Expert level knowledge of Pro-Tools required. Experience with Logic and Ableton Live, and/or live sound reinforcement a plus. Minimum 1 year teaching experience, preferably at the college level.

Psychology

Required:  Master’s in Psychology and previous community college teaching experience.

Sociology

Required: Master’s degree in Sociology or related Social Science discipline and prior related teaching experience. Applicant must be available to teach day and/or evening sections in Paramus and/or Lyndhurst.

Theatre – Stage Electrics

The Theatre department has opportunities to teach advanced courses in Stage Electrics. The course is designed to familiarize the student with the fundamental skills requisite to actualizing lighting designs. Emphasis is given to the identification, use, and maintenance of equipment, as well as to basic electrical theory and practice. Special attention is given to basic theories and aesthetics of light as a design element.

Required: MA/MFA in Technical Theatre with an emphasis in Lighting Design preferred.
