Adjunct Opportunities (Updated 8/22/19)

American Sign Language

Required: Master’s degree in American Sign Language/Deaf Studies or Native speaker plus Bachelor’s degree and minimum two years teaching experience at high school and/or college level. Applicant must be willing to teach both day and/or evening classes in Paramus and/or Lyndhurst.

Art/Photography

Required: Master degree in Fine Arts or Photography, or Bachelor’s degree plus demonstrated substantial experience in photographic production.  Applicant must be able to teach both Digital and Traditional darkroom photography and be available to teach day and/or evening classes in Paramus.

Biology

Required: Master’s degree in Biology or related field; at least one year of college level teaching experience.

Chemistry

Required: Master’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering or related field; at least one year of college level teaching experience.

College Mathematics

Required:  Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or Mathematics Education (must include at least 18 graduate level credits in Mathematics courses); One year of college level teaching experience.

Communication

Required: Master’s degree in Speech/Interpersonal Communication and at least one year college teaching experience. Available courses are COM 100 Speech Communication and COM 102 Public Speaking.

Computer Science/Information Technology

Required: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field; at least one year of college level teaching experience.

Developmental Mathematics

Required:  Master’s degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education or related field; one year of teaching experience.

English Basic Skills

Required:  Master’s degree in English, English Education, Reading or related field; at least one year experience teaching developmental English to diverse populations, preferably at a community college.

English Composition & Literature

Required:  Master’s degree in English, Composition/Rhetoric, Literature, or related field; at least one year experience teaching college-level English composition to diverse populations, preferably in a community college.

English as a Second Language (ESL)

Required:  Master’s degree in ESL, Linguistics, English Education, Reading or related field; at least one year experience teaching ESL to diverse populations, preferably at a community college.

Hotel Restaurant Management (Pastry Arts)
(New as of 8/22/19)
Required:
   Five (5) years experience in a high volume, recognized NYC food establishment or other as an executive pastry chef, pastry chef, Sous pastry chef, bakery production manager or other related position.  Experienced in cake decorating and tempering chocolate is a must.

Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel-Restaurant Management, Culinary/Pastry Arts or equivalent

Physics

Required: Masters’ degree in Physics, Engineering or related field; at least one year of college level teaching experience.
