Database and Office Coordinator – Bergen Community College Foundation (Search extended)

Bergen Community College is seeking a Database and Office Coordinator for its Foundation.  The Coordinator maintains, supports and configures the Blakbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT database system, ensuring the accuracy and consistency in data input, as well as access to training for other users and maintaining comprehensive documentation on proper database usage, data entry and system management; serves as liaison to vendors to manage database upgrades and troubleshooting and resolving technical issues; provides support as needed with the Scholarship Management Programs; processes all gifts including manually entering sensitive gifts and reviewing batch entries from online gifts; performs weekly audits of gift entries to ensure accuracy; creates invoices, acknowledgements and other communications related to gift processing; assists with annual audits; ensures the successful workflow of the Foundation, including organizing files, coordinating meetings and maintaining department calendar, preparing information packets, answering phones and handling general inquiries; oversees the hiring, scheduling and workflow of student workers.  As a member of the Foundation team, works together to execute the fundraising plan, assists with ensuring that goals are met or exceeded, and attends Foundation events and professional meetings and other duties as assigned.



Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.  Four (4) plus years of related work experience required; experience in support of nonprofit fundraising or in applicable roles at other organizations/institutions required.   Must possess excellent interpersonal, oral and written communications skills for customer service interactions with the board, donors, volunteers and students; ability to edit and proofread materials and to create and manage documentation to ensure consistency in complex systems; ability to shape and enforce consistent data entry, as well as navigate and manage the database for segmentation for fundraising, reporting and analysis.  Familiarity with Blackbaud suite of software products, particularly Raisers Edge as well as Google Suite office software (Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, etc.) preferred; familiarity with Bergen County communities and residents a plus.  Self-starter with ability to work independently with limited supervision and as part of a team in a collaborative manner.
