The Manager of Workforce and Career Placement is responsible for developing and maintaining an infrastructure of employment/job placement services working to prepare students with skills necessary for job search, internship and employment placement with regional business partners. This includes development of employment opportunities using inside sales calls, client and prospect visits, internet research, proposals, marketing campaigns and general networking activities. Establishing and maintaining long-term business partnerships resulting in continued placements. Developing a set of core outcomes for unit and measures, tracking annual performance against objectives, preparing and submitting annual assessment reports to designated offices and fully engaging with the College’s Outcomes Assessment Program.
Required Qualifications: BA/BS required. Advanced degree preferred. Demonstrates understanding of the community college mission and practices an open-door policy. Possess a strong understanding of the uses of information technology to deliver, monitor and evaluate programs and services for students and the ability to work collaboratively across various constituencies of the College. Strong interpersonal as well as technical skills and must be detail-oriented. Proficiency with staffing and customer relationship management software and various databases such as Datatel and Salesforce.com. Must have a valid driver’s license and private transportation. Must be able to work a varied schedule including weekends and evenings as necessary. Exhibits strong skills in leadership, managing people, communication, customer and student focus, building relationships, organizing and planning. Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the job placement field. Business acumen and knowledge of current labor market demands and compensation rates in relevant industry clusters. Working proficiency in various CRM software products, reporting tools and web-based marketing. Experience with staffing and customer relationship management software. Excellent customer service and written communication skills. Ability to work in a team environment, be a strategic thinker and self-starter, and present before large or small audiences.
