NJ Health Works Business Liaison – Northern Region (Grant Funded Positions)

The Business Liaisons are responsible for the development, oversight and marketing of apprenticeship opportunities for the NJ Health Works Grant. Through the development of approved apprenticeship work process documentation in identified career pathways, marketing materials and cultivation of employer relationships, these positions will serve a key role for the grants consortium to meet all employment enrollment and completion metrics. Stimulation and growth of existing business accounts through consultative sales and the development of apprenticeship programming and partnerships with government agencies, training providers and industry partnerships is expected to continue simultaneously. These positions will also serve as a primary communication conduit presenting environmental scan information and progress reports to the Employer and Consortium Advisory Councils on a regular basis. There are two grant funded positions and each will have responsibility for the Northern and Southern regions of New Jersey respectively.


Required Qualifications:  BS or equivalent in Business, Education, Technical Education, Adult Education or related field in the Health Professions. Advanced degree preferred.  Demonstrated ability in leadership, managing people and customer/student focus. Experience with consultative sales, program development including the sourcing of any required funding, and building relationships. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational and planning skills. Ability to be creative and innovative with problem solving solutions.  Experience: Must have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales, education, training or related field. Solid experience in apprenticeship, private industry and/or higher education. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, various databases and online software systems. Flexible schedule is required and may include evenings and weekends as necessary.  Must have valid driver’s license and private transportation.
