Professional Success Coach/Academic Counselor (Grant-funded position)

Bergen Community College has a grant-funded Professional Success Coach/Academic Counselor position available to provide academic counseling for Title V Pathway Scholars Program (PSP) students.   This position will be responsible for assisting current and potential PSP students with the selection of career and curriculum choices and their requirements; aiding the students in educational and life skills planning; providing academic counseling and advisement based upon the student’s ability to succeed; advising students of transfer and employment opportunities; conducting academic counseling and group activities which orient the students to academic life and guiding the students toward self-analysis and development; providing referrals to both on and off-campus resources and community resources; maintaining confidential records; compiling information to complete reports and performing additional duties as assigned. This position will work in collaboration with the Center for Student Success, the Advisement Center, in classrooms, One-Stop, Open Houses, Orientations and other special programs.
